Human Nature & The Role Of Government

Today students examined personal beliefs about 'human nature' and the 'role of government' by rating a number of statements (strongly disagree, disagree, agree, strongly agree). Students did an activity moving around the room standing at the position rated and explaining to their classmates their reasoning. Afterwards the class looked at Locke and Hobbes differing view on both of these topics.

Write a written or typed paragraph (minimum 5-7 sentences) addressing the following:

Do you agree with Locke or Hobbes about human nature?  

Who and why? 

Defend your opinion with evidence and/or examples from  today's class.
